There has been a lot of confusion recently with regard to boiler replacements, so let us begin by trying to explain. Until the Spring of 2009 Corgi were the body appointed by the Health and Safety executive to oversee the training and registration of gas engineers for the whole of the UK. In the Spring of 2009 though Corgi lost that appointm,ent for the UK with the exception of Northern Ireland.
Throughout London and Great Britain you should use an engineer registered under the new brand of Gas Safe which is the wholely owned brand of Capita plc who now administer all training and registration of boiler fitters.
Having the old Corgi registration does not permit any engineer to replace or repair a system boilers or indeed any other kind of central heating boilers. You should ensure that before work begins on replacing your system boiler that the engineer has on him the Gas Safe identity card.

Replacements differ from simply installing a new boiler in that there is already a boiler in existance and where it is a matter of exchanging a system boiler for another system boiler
Like for like we have a fixed cost of £1,850 to exchange your existing system boiler with a new Bosch system boiler.
This does not mean that you have to have a Boche system boiler already, but that it must be a system boiler we are to replace and the pipework and system space needs to be compatible, which is wht the above price is always subject to survey. |
